The program is for airport employees who live up to 10 miles south of the airport that do not have access to MARTA. The goal is to provide a transportation solution to employees who lack access to frequent and high-quality transit services.
Employees who live within 10 miles south of the airport may be eligible to join the program. To find out whether they are eligible, direct people to our AERO Help Desk, located on the north side of the Domestic Terminal, across from TGI Fridays between 12pm and 4pm Monday to Friday. One of our friendly team members will be able to help see if they are eligible.
You can leverage up to a maximum $600 in UberPool credits. If the trip costs more than these credits, you are responsible for the cost. For example, if your trip is 6 miles and costs $11.50, you will be responsible for $1.50.
Above, click on “Start Riding” to complete the registration process by filling out a short form. After you have filled in the survey, you will receive a confirmation text containing a link to activate your credit. Click the link and follow the prompts within the Uber app to complete the process.
If you do not have the Uber app, you will need to download this first from your app store.
It may take up to 24hrs to receive your SMS confirmation. If you have registered online and filled out the survey but did not receive your SMS within that time, please contact info@joinaero.com
This program provides very valuable credits that we work hard to protect. Eligibility criteria is monitored through variables based on your home location, phone number and other personal identifiers. If you received an invite to participate in this program from any AERO staff, text message or email and were subsequently denied eligibility, please visit our AERO Help Desk, located on the north side of the Domestic Terminal, across from TGI Fridays between 12pm and 4pm Monday to Friday. One of our friendly team members will be able to assist you.
You must use the credit with the Uber rideshare app for the duration of this promotion. UberPool is a specific product that not only picks you up, but also neighbors and co-workers along your way to work. By sharing the ride to work, you gain access to discounted prices from Uber as well as additional credits.
Only UberPool type trips will receive our credits. If you select a different Uber product (such as Uber X or Uber XL) you will be responsible for those charges. The type of trip is selected in the app.
Rides must be made to and from work at the airport. As such, trips must either end or begin at a designated point near the airport. That location is the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC). To access this location to/from the airport, please use the free SkyTrain. More information on these points is provided below.
Each program participant will be limited to 30 roundtrips for the duration of the pilot. A roundtrip includes a trip to and from work (i.e., 60 single trips). You can only use the credits for one trip to the airport per day and one return trip home per day.
The credit is valid starting November 15, 2017 and will run through to December 31, 2017 for a total of 45 days. There are no restrictions on the time of day you may take a trip. Once you have successfully registered, you will have until December 31st. After this date, your remaining credit balance will expire.
You can use the UberPool credits on trips between your home address (provided upon registration) and within 0.25 miles of the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), located next to the airport. Users will then take the free SkyTrain to access the Domestic Terminal of the airport.
You can leverage up to a maximum $600 in UberPool credits. There are two types of credits based on your home location.
– If your trip is 5 miles or less we will apply up to a maximum of $5 credit per trip for a maximum of $300 in credits (30 roundtrips X $5/trip = $300)
– If your trip is between 5 to 10 miles we will apply up to a maximum of $10 credit per trip for a maximum of $600 in credits (30 roundtrips X $10/trip = $600)
If the trip costs more than these credits, you are responsible for the cost. For example, if your trip is 6 miles and costs $11.50, you will be responsible for $1.50.
UberPool rides are the only Uber rides eligible for this program. If you select another ride option (e.g., Uber X or Uber XL), you will be responsible for the full payment.
If the trip costs more than these credits, you are responsible for the cost. For example, if your trip is 6 miles and costs $11.50, you will be responsible for $1.50.

No. The subsidy is personalised to be used by only you. Usage will be tracked via your Uber account.
Credits do not apply to tips. Credits only apply to trip cost and up to a mileage maximum (see AERO’s UberPool Details #5). Any tip you provide a driver is at your discretion and responsibility.
Yes they do! At the end of the day (11:59pm) on December 31st, 2017. So be sure to use your credits before that date!
The Uber app is designed for Smartphones. If you do not have an iPhone, Samsung Android, or Windows phone, you will unfortunately not be able to take part in this pilot program at the moment.
You can download the app for free if you have an iPhone, Samsung phone, or Windows phone, from your relevant application store. After you download the app, be sure to open it and follow the prompts to create a new account. That way you’ll be ready to go when you receive your credit link. Click the links below or search Uber in your application store.
In future, make sure that you have selected UberPool, all other ride requests fall outside of this promotion and therefore will be charged in full to you (see FAQ – AERO’S UBERPOOL DETAILS: 1). You must also request the ride from either your home location within 10 miles of the airport or the Georgia International Conference Center (GICC). If you are still in need of assistance, contact: info@joinaero.com
